Brotherhood of St. Andrew
The Brotherhood’s path forward in 2022 is both bright and busy. Having just entertained some 22 Mississippians for lunch in February, and enjoyed an exciting Shrove Tuesday pancake dinner for our congregation, our focus now is on Holy Week.
The Brother’s will be presenting “Stations of the Cross” on three occasions during the Week, plus manning the parking lot to ensure there is some degree of control and organization.
Two major events are being planned for the Fall, a Trinity picnic in September and a men’s retreat at Camp Weed in October. Standby for further details.
Our three outreach ministries: the Food Pantry; Pavilion Prayer Ministry; and the “Ramp Squad” continue on successfully. Led by John Ritz and Eric Van Allen, Dwight Miller and Al Ness, we are guaranteed a wonderful future.
The Food Pantry continues to be very busy, distributing over 2200 bags of food serving over 2500 individuals in February. The Prayer Ministry has been bringing the Gospel of Jesus Christ to between 10 and 20 Pavilion residents every week, including a Eucharist twice a month. The Ramp Squad just completed ramps #248, 249 and 250 in February and look forward to another opportunity in late March.
The Brotherhood continuously seeks to serve our Lord through Bible Studies, outreach ministries and fellowship. We invite all men of the church to join us in developing a closer walk with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
