Habitat for Humanity

Thank you to everyone who could attend our groundbreaking on our fourth affordable housing development, Volusia Woods, a 36-home community on Helen Street near Volusia Street!

Speakers at the event included our Executive Director, Malinda Everson, Community Leader & Volunteer Greg White, and County Commissioner Sarah Arnold. Inez McDonald joined in for the ceremonial groundbreaking.

We sincerely appreciate the generous support of our presenting sponsors, Inez McDonald, who donated $100,000, and Publix Supermarket Charities, for $50,000! We’re honoring Inez McDonald’s legacy by naming the one road through the neighborhood McDonald Avenue. We are also very grateful to our community sponsors, the United Way of St. Johns County, St. Cyprian’s Episcopal Church, St. Augustine Distillery Company, TD Charitable Foundation, Trinity Parish, St. Augustine, All American Air Charitable Foundation, Turner Electric Services, St. Augustine Kitchen & Bath, Maverick Engineering, Bryan McCloskey, Architect, PA, Karen Taylor Land Planning, and Baker Distributing Company.

Since 1993, we’ve built 159 homes and three affordable housing communities. To learn more about qualifying for a home, volunteering, or donating, please go to https://habitatstjohns.org/
