Endowment Grants
Applications for Trinity Endowment Grants are being accepted now for Grants to be given in the First Quarter of 2021. Please download the application, on right, and return it to the office by Wednesday, October 14, 2020.
As a reminder, the purpose of the grants are to fulfill Trinity’s mission by providing funds for Capital needs, Outreach, seed money to new ministries, and for special, one-time projects. We would like to fund groups or ministries in which Trinity members participate. If you have any questions, please contact Fr. Matt or an Endowment Board Member: Jack Crocker, Doc DeLaughter, Ralph Kline, Marty Mariner, Dwight Miller, Beth Nichols, and Tara Strickland.
The Endowment Fund of Trinity Parish was established by the Vestry in 2003 for the purpose of enabling the Parish to more completely fulfill its mission by developing its Christian-based ministries beyond what is possible through Trinity’s annual operating budget. The Endowment Fund is funded by “Legacy Society” donors who have made contributions directly or through their will bequests. These gifts enable Trinity Parish to better fulfill its mission … “To love God faithfully; to know Christ fully; and to make Him known through the Holy Spirit’s power.”
During the First Quarter of 2020, the Endowment Board was able to make 16 grants and distribute over $67,000. These grants included awards to our companion diocese church in Cuba for a new Water System; Gamble Rogers Weekend Food Bags; Home Again St. Johns; Pie-in-the-Sky; Rethreaded; St. Francis House; St. Gerard Campus; St. Johns Ecumenical Food Pantry; Wildflower Clinic; Trinity Youth Outreach Mission and Scholarships; improvements to the Trinity campus (new signage, lights for trees; repaired access step, concrete parking pad); and a contribution to Trinity’s Capital Reserve Contingency Fund.
Applications must be returned by October 14, 2020.
