Neighborhood Groups

Find Your Place to Belong at Trinity Parish

At Trinity, we believe life is richer when we walk with God and one another. That’s why we’re launching Neighborhood Groups—small gatherings where people come together to share meals, build lasting friendships, and pray as a community.

Whether you’re new to Trinity or have been here for years, these groups are a way to feel truly connected and supported.

Watch the video below to see how Neighborhood Groups can become a meaningful part of your life.

Details and registration will be available soon—stay tuned!

General Overview

1. What is a Neighborhood Group?

A Neighborhood Group is a small, multigenerational gathering of people from your area who come together to share a meal, pray for one another, and grow in faith and friendship.

2. Who can join a Neighborhood Group?

Anyone. Whether youve been part of Trinity for years, are brand new, or simply curious, youre welcome!

3. Do I need to be a member of Trinity to participate?

No. Neighborhood Groups are open to anyone who wants to connect and be part of a caring community.

4. What is the purpose of Neighborhood Groups?

To create a place where people are known, cared for, and encouraged in their walk with God—while also serving and welcoming our neighbors.

5. How are Neighborhood Groups different from a Bible study or social club?

We share in prayer, conversation, and mutual care. These groups are focused on relationships and support rather than a structured study. (We have great Bible studies at Trinity – we encourage you to get involved with those.)

6. What happens at a typical meeting?

We share a meal, catch up with each other, and close with a short, beautiful, ancient prayer service called Compline, from the Book of Common Prayer.

Logistics & Commitment

1. How often do Neighborhood Groups meet?

Usually once or twice a month, depending on the group.

2. Where do the meetings take place?

In a home near you.

3. How long does a meeting usually last?

75 minutes.

4. Do I have to attend every meeting?

We hope you can join regularly so that relationships grow, but we understand life happens. Come when you can.

5. How long is the commitment if I join?

There is no commitment, but we encourage you to give your group a year. Often people grow on one another.

6. Will I be assigned to a group or can I choose one?

When you sign up you will choose the neighborhood that is closest to you.

Participation & Expectations

1. What should I bring to a meeting?

Usually a dish to share for the meal. Your group will let you know if theres anything specific.

2. Do I need to bring food every time?

Its part of the fun and fellowship! But if you cant one week, just come—youre welcome no matter what.

3. What if I’m shy or don’t feel comfortable sharing right away?

Thats okay. You can participate at your own pace—no pressure.

4. Are children welcome at Neighborhood Group meetings?

Yes! These are family-friendly gatherings. Children are encouraged to be part of the evening, and build relationships creating a second extended family.”

5. Is there childcare provided?

There isnt formal childcare, but groups often work together to make sure kids are engaged and cared for.

6. What if I miss a meeting—should I let someone know?

es, just so we know youre okay. Youll also get updates for the next gathering.

Faith & Spiritual Growth

1. Is prior Bible knowledge required to participate?

Not at all. Again, Neighborhood Groups are not a Bible study.

2. Will there be prayer at every meeting?

Yes. Prayer is central to our time together.

3. How does Compline fit into the group gathering?

Its a short, peaceful prayer service that helps us close our time together in Gods presence.

4. Will there be opportunities to serve in the community through my group?

Yes! As relationships grow, groups often serve together—whether helping a neighbor, supporting a ministry, or volunteering in the community.

Special Circumstances

1. Can I invite a friend or neighbor who doesn’t attend Trinity Parish?

Absolutely! This is a wonderful way to introduce a friend to a Christ-centered community, and a low-barrier way to introduce them to the community of Trinity.

2. What if I am not a Christian?

All are welcome, no matter where you are in your faith journey.

3. What if I have dietary restrictions for the shared meal?

Just let your group know, and well make sure theres something you can enjoy.

4. What if my schedule changes mid-year?

We understand. Just stay in touch with your group leader so we can help you stay connected.
